Assemblyman Dies in Tragic Accident

Venus -- Lesser assemblyman Dannyl Barton died last night in a head-on collision
with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle escaped with
only minor injuries, but Assemblyman Barton had apparently foregone any
protective devices and so perished. The wreck has been ruled accidental,
and a blood test performed on Mr. Barton at the scene showed his blood alcohol
content at 0.8. His family was shocked at the news of his death, and
the manner of it. "He was always such a careful driver, and he never
drank in his life." The family of the deceased has expressed its wish
for a small funeral, and the late Mr. Barton's body will be held in state
following a one-day viewing.
