Fixers in the San Diego Metropolitan Area have recently begun complaining of serious difficulties in contacting their suppliers. The problem, according to local fixer Josef Miran, has been growing slowly for weeks now, as off-planet sources try to get through ever-tightening U.N. security precautions. With the successful attack on the San Diego Spaceport last week, the U.N. apparently retaliated by stepping up security even farther, so much so that most suppliers cannot get through at all. As a result, the fixers here in San Diego, and presumably all fixers on Terra, have been forced to cut back sharply on their goods offered, or even go out of business entirely. At this time, most fixers in the city have closed up shop, and of the few remaining only one or two appear confident that they can remain in business. For those few fixers with on-planet sources, the times look good, and lucrative profits lie ahead. The rest can look forward to very trying times indeed.
