Station 117 Attacked

As we all know, all contact with Station 117 has recently been lost. The reason for this disconnection has now been discovered by the BlackHawk, a supply vessel sent on a routine resupply mission to the Station. The BlackHawk discovered the Station badly damaged, life support having apparently been down for several days. A death count has not yet been taken, but all residents are believed to have been killed or captured. Upon attempting to leave, the BlackHawk was attacked by a U.N. cutter, implicating the U.N. in the assault upon the Station. But if the cutter had attacked the Station, then why may I ask did it not simply attack the BlackHawk upon that vessel's arrival? Furthermore, the firepower evinced by the damage to the Station seems a bit much for one cutter to achieve on its own, especially considering that it would likely have come under fire from any Belter ships docked at the time. No, I believe that the cutter simply chanced to be patrolling the area when the BlackHawk happened to leave the Station. But considering the intensity of the U.N.'s hatred for us here in the Belt, and considering the way in which their attacks have been escalating over the past several months -- almost as if leading up to a full-fledged war -- I cannot rule out the U.N. as a suspect. In fact, I see no other possibilities. Who but the U.N. could possibly have attacked the Station? As I ponder recent occurences at Station 117, a disturbing thought comes to mind. Station 117 was well known as the home of our own Colonel Barson, the beloved leader who has recently been severely harrying U.N. war shipments to Mars. Colonel Barson, who was captured just last week by U.N. forces after a viscious space battle. Colonel Barson knew the location of Station 117, knew the passcodes, knew of the technology which kept the Station hidden from prying U.N. eyes. I hate to think that any Belter would turn traitor to the cause, especially one so noble as Barson, but stranger things have been known to happen.
